Magnetic beads are here to stay! Have you seen them yet? They are everywhere: magnetic bead necklaces, magnetic earrings, magnetic bracelets, rings… They look amazing and they even have some surprising effects on your health. With these original pieces that come in all shapes and styles, you too will be able to design beautiful, personal and unique jewelry that you can wear to any occasion, or give to someone you love as a present. In this article, we will give you 4 reasons why magnetic beads are a great investment.

magnetic_beads

- You can have a truly original piece of jewelry: Even though magnetic beads are getting increasingly popular, there are never two pieces of jewelry that are exactly equal. This is because you have the freedom to arrange the strands of magnetic beads in order to create unique designs. Feel free to mix different sizes, shapes and colors! There are all kinds of beads: faceted, round, hexagon, twist, drops, hearts… Thanks to its super powerful magnetism, the beads will stay together without the need of a string. And once you get tired of the necklace or the bracelet you have arranged, you can rearrange the magnetic beads into a completely different shape.

- They are inexpensive: The price of magnetic beads is totally affordable, if you consider their high quality and how long they will last. You will never get such a good deal in jewelry, unless you are thinking of using plastic, which isn’t as resistant or as original as magnetic beads (not to mention as nice as this fabulous material!).

- You won’t need to have your ears pierced: Would you love to wear earrings but the perspective of having your ears pierced terrifies you? Wouldn’t it be great if there was some way to avoid the pain and the risk of infection of having a piercing, and still looking cool? Good news! There are many different models of magnetic earrings, which you can use completely pain free!

- They are good for your health: Western society is beginning to understand the healing powers of magnetism. Magnetic beads are not only beautiful, but they are good for you as well. Because the magnets resonate at a high frequency, nowadays more and more people use them to treat pain, arthritis and a variety of injuries.

Now you know it too: magnetic beads make beautiful, unique and even healthy piece of jewelry!

Beaded craft is surely an art and skill to have. If you have an interest in bead craft, then we are sure that you will want to know how to make a beaded necklace. Be it for customers, for your daughters, your friends or even for yourself, . In the following paragraphs & video, you will be taught how to make a beaded necklace and you letting you know exactly what materials you will need to make sure that you make the perfect necklace.

Here are some of the things that you will need: flat nose pliers, beading needle, jewelry wire, spacer beads, beading threads, whatever beads you want to put on the necklace, constructing glue and, of course, scissors. All of these materials are simple crafting supplies, so if you have jewelry making as a hobby, you should definitely have these supplies handy. Let us now assume that you have all of these so we can move on to the actual bead necklace making process.

Firstly, take out your beading thread and think over how long you want your necklace. After deciding on the length of your necklace, be sure to add about 3 to 4 inches extra so you can have some extra space to add clasps and still get the same length that you desire the necklace to be. The second step comes in here. You can start adding the beads that you have chosen. Make sure you try different things up to the point you are fully satisfied with the look of your necklace. You should try to use the space beads to give your other beads the proper spacing needed. Remember, you will need a clasp and two the tips of the bead thread because they will be used to secure the two ends of your necklace and the clasp will be used to attach the necklace.

You have finalized the appearance of your beaded necklace. What next? You grab the end of the necklace and you tie a knot at each of the ends. There will be some excess thread on each side so you can simply trim that off using your scissors. Do not make a knot that is loose or one that will untie itself. Once the knot is tied and secured, you will add crafting glue so it stays in place. Now for the last step what you need to do is take out the pliers that we told you to keep next to you. Use these pliers to secure the clasp in a beaded hook. This will ensure that each of the necklace’s ends is joined together. The pliers will then be used to close the rings over.

Below is a video showing the steps in more detail how to make a beaded necklace.
